Psi Chi / Psychology Club

“Increases student knowledge and enthusiasm in all fields of Psychology through expert guest speakers, volunteer work, the promotion of mental health on campus, and networking with Psychology professionals/professors.”
- Lead meetings of Texas A&M students monthly; increasing membership retention
- Created everlasting Aggie connections between students and psychology professionals inside/outside the A&M community
- Advocated for campus-wide message to destigmatize mental health with interactive activities and tangible resources

Diversity and Inclusion Committee (DIVE IN)
Position Held: Committee Board Member
“Committee of undergraduate and graduate psychology students who create initiatives that encourage diversity within Texas A&M’s Psychology department; provides student opportunity for a hands- on impact within the department”
- Reviewed data on the Psychology Department’s diversity efforts to invent more inclusive initiatives for students & staff
- Worked with the Associate Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to implement projects, seminars, and professional panels
- Planned annual department wide appreciation breakfast & semesterly diversity movie night event

The Xi Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Positions Held: President, Vice President, & Historian
“Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”
- Responsible for designing COVID 19 compliant programs that educate students on women’s mental and physical health
- Constructed virtual video campaigns about voting, social distancing, and racial injustice communicating the importance of minority students using their voice
- Executed an impact program livestream with Miss America; with invitations given to congresswoman, keynote leaders, and college students across the country

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
Position Held: Vice President & Historian
“To foster cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern, NPHC promotes the well-being of its affiliate fraternities and sororities.”
- Assisted in creating and updating the governing documents that set the standard and expectation for the entire Greek council of 8 fraternities/sororities; enforcing the bylaws to aid advisor in fostering conformity and engagement across the council
- Collaborated with five executive board members to plan monthly community outreach events in the BCS area

Position Held: Student Ambassador
“Service organization composed of student volunteers who support the Aggie Athletic Department and assist the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association with Burgess Banquets, Aggie Football games, award ceremonies, and large-scale Alumni Reunions”
- Participated in event planning to ensure that all former athletes and their families have a positive experience during sporting events, reunion banquets, and Aggie Football events during each season
- Served as a student liaison while being the first face that Aggie Letterman and recruits see on their visits to Aggieland; working closely with A&M Football Staff in game day operations to make administrative and registration run smoothly

Excellence Uniting Culture, Education, & Leadership (EXCEL)
Position Held: Participant & Mentor
“A mentoring program and large-scale conference designed to help African American freshmen find a community where they can adjust smoothly and culturally identify here at Texas A&M”
- Selected to mentor freshmen in their academic/social transition from HS and beyond by orienting them to academic advisors, the career center, and the counseling center
- Guided freshmen through adverse situations throughout their college careers, equipping them with tangible knowledge about academic, social, and health resources

Uniting Divine Sistahs Program (UDS)
Position Held: Executive Officer
The “Uniting Divine Sistahs” program is dedicated to empowering African American women on Texas A&M’s campus and beyond. The program is designed to address leading in diverse organizations, maintaining a healthy body image, and challenging socially established gender norms and roles.
- Assisted in developing culturally adapted lesson plans catered to young African American girls & women
- Applied intrapersonal and critical thinking competencies to create service project with the Pretty Brown Girls Organization
